Fukuoka Art Book Fair is one of Japan’s leading art book fairs, held annually between April and June since 2024.

Around 100 publishers, artists, and designers engaged in independent publishing practices gather at the fair. “BOOK?”, an exhibition by the Singapore-based design unit Atelier HOKO, reexamines what it means to read a book. “BookBook Reading Room by Common Imprint” presents art books and zines donated by independent publishers across Asia who participated in the 2025 BookBook Festival in Seoul. The program also includes a variety of talks, workshops, radio programs, and live performances.

The fair additionally presents “Friends,” a collaborative program developed with bookstores, galleries, restaurants, and other local venues in Fukuoka. Through this initiative, visitors are invited to experience not only art books, but also the richness of the region’s art, culture, music, and food.
