Independent publishing in Asia is dispersed and fragmentary, largely grounded in small-scale publishing led by individuals or collectives. While loose solidarities are formed through events such as book fairs and exhibitions, there is also a persistent lack of spaces for open interaction. The Asian Independent Publishing Wiki seeks to connect, through hyperlinks, the conditions that shape today’s independent publishing environment in Asia — including individuals, collectives, publishers, print shops, distributors, bookstores, and book fairs. |
